ABOUT OUR GUEST SPEAKER:
Jerry Porter was elected to be General Superintendent at the 24th General Assembly of the Church of the Nazarene in San Antonio, Texas, in June 1997.
Dr. Porter and his wife, Toni, served as missionaries in the Dominican Republic, focusing on church planting and theological education, later, moving to Costa Rica where he was rector of the Nazarene Seminary of the Americas.
In 1986, he became Regional Director for Central America, overseeing eight nations.
In 1992, he was elected District Superintendent for the Mid-Atlantic District and held roles on various educational boards.
Jerry and Toni live in Texas, near their son Bill, his wife Kristen, and grandsons, Ben and Nate.
